Test for gross and fine leaks in as little as 6 minutes.*

Ironwood Intros Xilinx 1153 IC BGA Adapter Set
Only NorCom optical leak technology detects both gross and fine leaks in hermetically sealed packages, this fast. Instead of using multiple technologies
and processes, you can leak test virtually any type of package with one high-speed system. The NorCom 2020™
series inspects hermetically sealed components to
MIL-STD 883 requirements either in seam seal trays, or when already mounted tocircuits boards and assemblies. Itautomaticallyrejectsfailed devices, and reports the leak rate for each part, eliminating “divide and conquer”leak testing.

Eagan, MN — Ironwood Electronics has introduced its Giga-snaP SF- BGA1153A-B-42F and LS-BGA11 - 53A-41 BGA SMT adapter set, a low- cost and reliable socket for Xilinx 1,153-pin BGA ICs. The adapter pair consists of the SF-BGA1153A-B-42F with patented female sockets and machined pins epoxy overmolded into an assembly that matches the male pin LS-BGA1153A-41. The epoxy overmolded SF- BGA1153A-B-42F is soldered to a PCB using standard soldering meth- ods. The LS-BGA1153A-41 BGA adapter, to which the user attaches a target 1153 BGA chip, is plugged into the female socket on the board. The SMT adapters have the
same solder ball types as the IC they emulate. The force to mate of conven- tional adapters can exceed 113 lb (502N) for a 1,000-pin device. The Giga-snaP BGA surface mount feet adapters require approximately half the force for the 1,153 pin device. The electrical path of the Giga- snaP BGA SMT adapters is a high-
priority performance issue. The physical length from the top connec- tion point on the male adapter to the solder ball on the female socket is 0.2 in. (4.5 mm). This short connection length provides excellent transmis- sion of high-frequency signals.

Grieve Builds 350°F Heated Cabinet Oven
Round Lake, IL — Grieve’s No. 890 is a 350°F (177°C), electrically heated cabinet oven, currently used for heat- ing tubular aluminum parts at a cus- tomer’s facility. Workspace dimen- sions of the oven measure 13 x 1.5 x 1.5 ft (4 x 0.5 x 0.5m). The oven con- tains 14.4 kW Nichrome wire heating elements and a 1,000 CFM (0.5 m3/s), 1 HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow. This cabinet oven has 4 in.
(10.2 cm) insulated walls, an alu- minized steel exterior and Type 430 stainless steel interior. Additional features include a motor-operated vertical lift door.

Knick Intros High-Voltage AC-DC Transducers
Huntington Beach, CA — With the launch of its P 43000 TRMS AC-DC high-voltage transducers, Knick has developed a completely new class of AC-DC transducers for true-rms val- ues. Input values range from 100 mA up to 5A AC. Currents are output as standardized analog DC signals. A rotary switch on the front
allows comfortable, calibrated switch - ing between up to 16 customized ranges. Traditional AC-DC transduc- ers are susceptible to errors, due to their poor insulation and are only designed for pure sine wave measure- ment. The Knick P 43000 TRMS has been developed to also process distort- ed input signals. The true-rms circuit converts signals with a crest factor of up to 5 in the frequency range of 40 to 1,000 Hz or 8 to 400 Hz. The VariTrans P 43000 TRMS
withstands working voltages up to 3,600 VAC/DC and test voltages up to 15 kV. Protective separation of the input, output and power supply pro- vide protection from electric shock up to 1,800 VAC/DC (to EN 61140). The company’s Trans Shield tech-
nology facilitates an extremely com- pact, shielded design of the high-volt-
age transformers, allowing the VariTrans P 43000 TRMS to fit into a very compact, housing. Vacuum encap sulation provides maximum long-term protection against harsh

environments, shock and vibration. In addition, the transducers come with an integrated VariPower broad-range power supply for supply voltages from
20 to 253 VAC/DC. Contact: Knick Interface, LLC, 7755 Center Avenue, Suite 1100,
