Westbury Leo’s Club
The Westbury Leo’s Club successfully promoted the club and the invaluable support they offer to the wider community at the Matravers open evening on 2nd October. This led to the expansion of the club with 6 new members.
The start to this academic year has been filled with Leo support for community events in conjunction with The Westbury Lions. Recent events the Leo’s have supported include:
- Westbury Music and Arts Festival Westbury Leo’s scrap store event with a fairy tale theme.
- The Royal British Legion remembrance service in Westbury high street on 12th November. The Westbury Leos were honoured to be able to lay a wreath on the war memorial during this service in which hundreds of residents stood in silence and supported.
- Westbury 10K run on 8th October, where the Westbury Leo’s provided refreshments to the competitors and cheered them through to the finish line.
- Matravers Young musician on 12th October where the Westbury Leos were fantastic hosts meeting and greeting guests.
- Children in Need cake sale on Friday 17th November at Matravers School where we raised a total of £47 on cake!
- Westbury street fair on 2nd December which is a firm favourite with the Westbury Leo’s where they run a hook a duck and hoopla stall.
To Celebrate the fantastic support of all
members of the Westbury Leo’s club, we ran a reward trip to White Hall Garden Centre to go ice skating!
