YEAR 7 EXTENDED FRENCH HOMEWORK 2017


3D Representation and Information - A Famous French Person


In October 2017 we received some outstanding French projects about a famous French person and we continue to be amazed by the quality and effort which the Year 7 students put into presenting the information about their chosen person in a creative way which reflects his or her work and life. This year, the students picked some famous French people such as Monet the Impressionist artist and Louis Braille who invented the reading system for the blind. Students also chose Gustave Eiffel, Coco Chanel, Joan of Arc, Napoleon Bonaparte, Zinadine Zidane, David Guetta and Philippe Petit amongst others and we learnt a great deal about the contribution that these people have made to society. Students were very eloquent in saying why they had chosen their character and were able to share some interesting facts about their lives and achievements.


We really enjoyed looking at all the creative designs and it was hard to pick the winners from so many high quality projects. Mrs Davies and Dr Riding were invited to help us to judge this year. We selected ten winners who were all awarded a French certificate in assembly and then invited to join Dr Riding, Mr Anderson, Mrs Stapleton and Mrs Anderson for a French breakfast to discuss their models.
