Year 12 & 13 (continued)
Many of our students have tasted success this term, among whom is Beth Murtie who won the Young Musician of the Year competition, with Dan Chadwick and Dylan Jones winning the audience award. Many of our Sixth Formers are involved with the whole school Beauty and the Beast production, working alongide younger students and helping to support them.
One of their duties took them, along with a number of other senior students, to Lavington School as part of our programme to collaborate with them in order to build the Sixth Form further with a satellite Matravers Sixth Form being housed at Lavington School. If this comes off it could bring real benefit to all our students in the form of further resources and opportunities being open to them. Watch this space!
I would like to remind everyone that the deadline for applications for a place in the Sixth Form for next year is the 15 December. We have a limited number of places so a timely application is important. Application forms are available from the Main Reception, myself, or on the school website.
Mr Browning Director, Post 16
HEAD BOY & GIRL The Senior Student selection process was highly competitive this year, with all applicants impressing in the interview process and making the final selection extremely difficult. However, emerging as Head Boy and Head Girl we had Owen Adams and Ellen Blackman, both of whom have already represented the school impressively on open evenings. We are proud to have them on board.
