SUCCESSFUL RECRUITMENT ASSEMBLY Our current year 8 cohort have made the most of being the first students at Matravers to join cadets onsite. Encouraging all students to think differently and try this opportunity with the option of not having to stay if it’s not for them. Receiving 30 interest forms in return from the assembly, not all recruits have found cadets to be for them which is fine but for those who have found it fun and engaging, we look forward to producing an exciting programme in the New Year with their Passing out Parade planned for Tuesday 16th January.

SENIOR CADETS REPORT TERM 1 “At the start of the school year, everyone was really keen to restart cadets to make sure we were ready for the opening ceremony. It went really well and the helicopter visit was brilliant. We have also taken on some new recruits, they have done well and have adapted really well becoming cadets and members of our Contingent. INTER SECTION COMPETITION With a reshuffle of Sections due to our intake of Year 8s, Charlie Section have now been introduced. The Inter Section Competition has started positively with cadets earning points for attendance,
promotion, qualifications and participation in events.
Current standing: Charlie Section 710 points Alpha Section 520 points Bravo Section 436 points
In the New Year we will be holding an Inter Section Marksmanship competition that will carry a prize of 200 points, hopefully Alpha or Bravo Section will capitalise on this to put some pressure on Charlie Section who are performing very strongly.
