Juki Adds to Lineup of Production Systems


Morrisville, NC — Juki Automation Systems (JAS) has expanded its line- up of electronics production equip- ment to include its AXI5100c inline X-ray component

counting the latest 03015s as well as four 7 in. (17.8 cm) or one 15 in. (38 cm) reel, with varying thicknesses. In addi- tion to counting reels, the AXI5100c can count compo- nents in ESD bags, storage sticks, and trays. The compo- nent counter is a fully-automat- ed in-line system that can load and unload components using various conveyors,

unloaders and even robots. One key advantage of the in-line counter is its ability to commu- nicate directly with the JUKI ISM component storage towers, offering complete and confi- dent automation of component inventory. The SE600™ 3D SPI system is


designed to deliver true volume measurement and world-class usabil- ity. With a state-of-the-art illumina- tion sensor,


it offers excellent


repeatability and reproducibility — even on small paste deposits. The system is controlled by an easy-to- use touchscreen. The mid-speed RS-1 contains a


multifunction head, the LNC-120, with a 12 mm (0.5 in.) pitch and eight nozzles, as well as a diffuser for vision. The new LNC-120’s laser moves up and down depending on the height of the component, resulting in high CPH regardless of the shape of the components. Combined with RF electronic feeders, the system has an optimal throughput of 40,000 CPH. New odd-form recognition technology allows the system to provide easy data entry for odd-form components. Dymax Conformal Coating: Thermal Shock Protection


Torrington, CT — Dymax has intro- duced its Multi-Cure® 9-20557, a con- formal coating developed to rapidly coat PCBs and other electronic assemblies. The MIL-1-46058C listed product is formulated to remain on the edges of difficult-to-wet compo- nents and sharp leads, while its low modulus allows it to excel in coating applications where thermal shock performance is critical. The new material, which is UL-


approved and meets IPC-CC-830 standards, has been optimized for coating thicknesses between 51 and 510 µm. This medium-viscosity materi-


al, designed to enhance wetting of leads, is compatible with most types of spray equipment. It fluoresces a vivid blue when exposed to UV light (365 nm) for easy inspection of the coating coverage. In addition, its sec- ondary heat-cure feature allows the coating to cure with heat in applica- tions where shadowed areas exist.
