Mill-Max Releases Through-Hole Spring-Loaded Connectors
Oyster Bay, NY — Mill-Max has added a through- hole version of its 2 mm (0.08 in.) pitch spring-loaded connectors to complement the series’ surface mount version. These spring-loaded connectors (SLCs) are an appealing option that combine both durability and space-saving qualities. For board-to-board or device-to-board connections with the additional security of through-hole mounting, these spring- loaded connectors are a practical solution. The connectors have spring pins with a work-
ing travel of 0.028 in. (0.7 mm) and a maximum trav- el of 0.055 in. (1.4 mm). The initial, uncompressed height of the connectors from the board surface is 0.29 in. (7.5 mm). The company also offers standard mating target connectors in through-hole and sur- face mount varieties, each with the option of a flat or concave face. When mated with through-hole
target connectors at mid-stroke, a board to board height of 0.425 in. (10.8 mm) is achieved —0.408 in. (10.35 mm) with the SMT targets. The connectors have a solder tail diameter of 0.022 in. (0.56 mm) and a plunger diameter of 0.032 in. (0.81 mm) allowing adequate space for laying out the PCB holes, pads and traces on both the solder and mating sides of the connectors. These new through-hole SLCs
are offered in single row, series 836- 22-0XX-10-001101 and double row, series 838-22-0XX-10-001101. Stan - dard availability is 2 to 50 positions
KOA Speer Expands Range of Chip Resistors
Bradford, PA — KOA Speer Elec - tronics has introduced an expanded resistance range of 47W to 1 MW for its RN73H series of ultra-precise thin-film metal chip resistors. The new low end of the resistance range (47W) affects the 0402, 0603, 0805, and 1206 sizes.

for single row and 4 to 100 positions for double row. Both series are designed for manual place- ment into plated through-holes in the circuit board prior to hand, wave or reflow soldering. Gold-plated components and springs ensure
the highest conductivity, corrosion resistance and durability. The spring-loaded pins used in these con- nectors have a current rating of 2A continuous use (3A maximum.) The plastic housing withstands high temperatures and is suitable for all soldering
processes. The connectors are RoHS-compliant. Contact: Mill-Max Mfg. Corp., 190 Pine

COMPATIBILITY
THE GAME CHANGERS. Temperature Stable solder pastes
LOCTITE®
RN73H series thin-film metal chip resistors.
The RN73H contains a mois-
ture-resistant protective layer over its resistive film and is designed for applications that require a reliable resistor for humidity and high tem- peratures up to 155°C (311°F). The resistors are suitable for use in the transportation, medical, telecommu- nications, consumer electronics, and industrial markets. The company’s chip resistor
series includes 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206, and 1210 sizes with a power rating range of 0.063 to 0.25W, resistances up to 1 MW, and maximum working voltages between 50 and 400V. The resistors are AEC-Q200-qualified and available with lead-free terminations
to meet EU RoHS requirements. Contact: KOA Speer Electronics,
