Milwaukie, OR — ECD® has launched a series of upgrades and enhancements for its line of manu- facturing equipment, including new features for its SmartDRY™ intelligent dry storage systems, M.O.L.E® thermal profilers and the OvenRIDER® NL2+ oven verification tool. Though comparatively new to the market, the
SmartDRY storage system exceeded expectations by selling more than three times its initial projection. SmartDRY’s Industry 4.0 features and excellent per- formance have been added to by a series of multiple fixed and pull-out shelving options that enable easi- er part storage and access. Parts can be packaged individually, in bins, on reels, and in feeders. The company’s reflow oven verification sys-
tem, OvenRIDER, has also undergone renovation. Differing from conventional “golden board” approaches to process verification, the system authenticates the actual oven performance as opposed to board conditions. OvenRIDER NL2+ has a list of
improvements over its predecessor, including a higher temperature-rated pallet material of 280°C (536°F) con-

sor guards to reduce inadvertent handling damage, and exchangeable process sensors. ECD has added an easy-to-use, recipe gener-
ation program to its M.O.L.E. MAP software. Recipe Generator provides simple drop-down menus for three inputs: reflow oven make and model, solder paste type and component density/board thickness. Once these fields are pop- ulated, the system provides an initial, in-spec recipe to be used as a starting point for the reflow process. Available for use with V-M.O.L.E.®, SuperM.O.L.E.® Gold 2 and MegaM.O.L.E.® 20 thermal profilers, the recipe generator is compati- ble with Windows 10 and can be downloaded for

N200 panel singulating punch. The standard die set consists of
upper and lower blades for cutting a single tab at a time. The tab is posi- tioned on the lower blade by placing the routed section of the panel on a set of locating pins and holding the PCB or letting it rest on the support table.
The exact cutting location can
be adjusted by turning an adjust- ment screw which brings the locating pins to the desired place for cutting a tab at the board end of the material. Pins can be adjusted in the x and y axes to bring them close to the sides of the cutting blade and to adjust for a variety of different diameters. Locating pins are mounted on
quick-change blocks that can be replaced easily for different board configurations. The N200 is designed to complement capital equipment punch systems for high-volume pro- duction. Users can singulate low-vol- ume boards without the significant cost of re-tooling larger machines for
only a few panels. Contact: FKN Systek, 115
