IPTE Offers Spring Mounter and Test Handlers
Alpharetta, GA — IPTE has recently introduced its SpringMounter ma- chine, which is compact and able to place springs onto the target PCB every 1.2 seconds. The machine is equipped with a single-lane trans- port system with input, output and process positions. A dual-lane option is also available. The PCB is positioned and
clamped to ensure correct placement of the springs. Springs are fed using a bulk feeder with two outputs to a pickup area. The feeder includes a defect and orientation check and can operate autonomously for up to three hours. A Staubli robot with a pneu- matic, three-finger gripper picks up the spring and places it into position on the PCB. The springs are placed into solder paste, preparing them for the reflow process. The system is equipped with

its test handler portfolio by introduc- ing a manual shuttle test handler (STH). A set of carriers is used to hold the PCB in place, allowing odd- form PCBs to be tested. The STH has a pneumatic press-unit with a mov- ing lower fixture, resulting in no moving wires during top-side con-

Schaumburg, IL — EPLAN has launched a new version of its EPLAN Education software, based on the lat- est release of its EPLAN Platform 2.6 suite of engineering software products. EPLAN Education Campus now pro- vides a network license for up to 300 users and three instructors, a 12-fold increase in user access over previous versions. Developed for schools and colleges, this training concept includes software solutions for electrical, fluid power, instrumentation, control and automation (ICA), and con- trol cabinet engineering. Training for instructors,
