Bromont, Quebec, Canada — Cogiscan has introduced its Co-NECT produc- tion software, a standalone and neu- tral connectivity solution that ad- dresses the challenge of communica- tion between machines and software and enterprise systems. The technolo- gy is designed to enable Industry 4.0 for electronics assembly. Co-NECT supports industry stan-
dards including SECS/GEM, CAMX, ZVEI, and JSON, as well as proprietary interfaces from leading MES and ma- chine vendors. Co-NECT’s connectivity layer enables data exchange in real- time in large manufacturing facilities that may contain hundreds of machines. The architecture and supporting infra- structure is optimized to ensure that there are no delays or any lag in re-
sponse time, regardless of how many lines, machines and workstations are connected. Co-NECT is built on the compa-
ny’s standard TTC platform and is adaptable to the customer’s environ- ment, regardless of the mix of ma- chines and software solutions already in place. The use of a third-party con- nectivity middleware allows customers the freedom to choose between multiple machine vendors, rather than being
limited to a single solution. Contact: Cogiscan, 28-B boule-
