machines to an expanding customer base with more sophisticated inspec- tion requirements and applications. The company found that more of its customers wanted the ability to measure very small features in addi- tion to their general inspection requirements. In keeping with the mission to offer value and quality, machines are designed with a gran- ite base and z-column, steel measur- ing stages with cross-roller bearings, precision optics, and digital cameras. The current product line includes a variety of machine designs and advanced measurement software with an intuitive interface. In addi- tion, the systems are user-friendly, eliminating the need for a dedicated operator.

Growth and Expansion In addition to its offices in

China and its Kunshan factory, the company recently expanded its facili- ty in California by 6,000 ft2 (557.4m2). The new space is used pri- marily as a much larger demo room. With the expansion, the total facility is now approximately 18,000 ft2 (1,672m2) and provides enough room to have all of the company’s technol- ogy on display and ready for cus- tomer demonstrations on the spot. Scienscope plans to open another demo area in the Northern California Bay area in the coming months. The addition, as well as the

expansion plan, are a direct result of the company’s worldwide growth. Overall sales in 2015 were 153 per- cent higher than the year before, and more than 300 percent higher than two years prior. This growth is attributed to the reliability and the ease-of-use of Scienscope’s advanced, cost-effective inspection systems. This type of growth is exciting

for the company. The network of sales reps that have partnered with Scienscope over the last two years have certainly contributed. The com- pany works continuously to update its machines with new standard fea- tures and their software interfaces have been completely revamped, based on customer input. While the company’s success can be attributed to many factors, the most important have been a commitment to quality engineering, a focus on research and development, and continuous, two- way communication with customers.
