Mediterranean Sea 93 Day 6: Edfu – Aswan


Visit the incredibly well-preserved Temple of Horus. After exploring the sites of Edfu return to the Nile to sail to the agricultural town of Kom Ombo and its unique centrepiece: a temple designed to worship two gods, Sobek and Horus. Watch the sunset as you continue sailing south to Aswan. (B/L/D)

Day 7: Aswan – Elephantine Island This morning marvel at one of the wonders of the modern world: the Aswan High Dam. Continue to the Temple of Philae. Board a traditional felucca and sail to Elephantine Island. (B/L/D)


Day 8: Aswan – Abu Simbel Fly to Abu Simbel and board the luxury cruise boat Prince Abbas before visiting the remarkable Temples of Abu Simbel. An optional sound and light show can be seen in the evening which will showcase the spectacular temples within the sandstone cliff face. (B/L/D)

Day 9: Abu Simbel – Wadi El Seboua This morning receive an educational talk on Kasr Ibrim – one of the only major archaeological sites in Lower


Nubia to escape the flooding caused by the construction of the Aswan High Dam. Set sail to Wadi El Seboua, taking in the Amada Temple en-route. Overnight stay in Wadi El Seboua to prepare for your penultimate day of sightseeing. (B/L/D)


Day 10: El Seboua – Aswan This morning visit Wadi El Seboua which is also known as the Valley of the Lions after the 8 sphinxes that guard the Nubian Temple built here to honour Rameses II. Again, this is another monument that was moved from its original location after the construction of the Aswan Dam. Continue to Aswan where you will moor overnight. (B/L/D)


Day 11: Aswan – Cairo Disembark from the Prince Abbas and transfer to the airport after a visit to the Kalabsha Temple along the way. Fly back to Cairo today and overnight at the Sonesta Cairo Hotel and Casino, where you can relax in the surroundings including: spa, steam and swimming facilities as well as a choice of restaurants. Day 12: Cairo – London Morning transfer to the airport for your non-stop EgyptAir return flight to London Heathrow. (B)
