2 night Iguassu Falls Extension
You have the opportunity to extend your tour and visit a sure-fire candidate for the 8th wonder of the world, the Iguassu Falls – lying on the triple frontier of Brazil – Argentina – Paraguay. Experience the thundering roar of water over the lip of the 90-metre Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s gorge) the most spectacular of the 275 waterfalls that make up the astounding complex of cascades.
Day 10: Calafate – Iguassu

Day 4: Buenos Aires Enjoy a day at leisure in Buenos Aires and sample some of South America’s best museums, theatres and art galleries or relax in the open-air cafés along elegant boulevards or shop in the designer boutiques. In the evening attend the authentic dinner and Tango Show at El Querandi (or similar). Enjoy a typically Argentine meal, be it the traditional steak, chicken or Patagonian lamb ‘asado’ with a mouth watering array of salads and pasta dishes before settling down for a tango show performed by skilled musicians and dancers. Day 5: Buenos Aires – Mendoza After breakfast fly to Mendoza and transfer to the Hotel Huentala for 2 nights. The rest of the day is at leisure with the option of a half-day tour of the city. (B)
Day 6: Mendoza Today you will have the opportunity to sample and blend your own wine
– this is a fully interactive programme that gives you an insight into the processes vintners use by blending grape varieties to add more complexity to the flavour and texture of a wine. (B)
Day 7: Mendoza – El Calafate After breakfast fly from Mendoza to El Calafate. Stay 3 nights at the Hotel Sierra Nevada. (B)
Day 8: Perito Moreno Glacier Today you will drive to the Perito Moreno Glacier in southern Patagonia. During the 2 hour 30 min drive experience some of the most dramatic landscapes in South America. Mini-trek through the 30km glacier, with spectacular views over Lago Argentino, the Peninsula de Magallanes and Brazo Rico. The trek is a moderate walk of around 2 hours and includes use of trekking shoes with spikes. (B/L)
Day 9: El Calafate Day at leisure with the option of a full day glacier experience by boat. (B)
Day 10: El Calafate – London Fly from El Calafate to Buenos Aires and Buenos Aires via Madrid to Heathrow (B). Minimum age: 16
