Day 5: Twyfelfontein There is an optional morning hiking trail, where your guide will introduce you to the rich display of flora and fauna typical to the pro-Namib region. In the afternoon join a sundowner drive in the Aba Huab River, encounter spectacular views of the Etendeka Mountains. (B/L/D)


Day 6: Twyfelfontein – Etosha National Park Leave Damaraland and visit a local Himba Village, providing an opportunity to interact with the welcoming Himba people and gain a fascinating insight into their distinctive tribal customs. Arrive in Etosha National Park by early afternoon and undertake your first game drive at one of Africa’s greatest game parks – home to a multitude of animals. Stay 2 nights at the Etosha Safari Camp. Day 7: Etosha National Park Visit Etosha – meaning ‘great white place’ – for a day’s game drive, exploring the variety of waterholes along the enormous saltpan that the animals rely so heavily upon. (B/D)


Day 8: Etosha National Park You have one final day to encounter the wildlife on offer. Your accomplished guide will also explain the complex subject of managing and maintaining such an enormous reserve. Overnight at the Kempinski Mokuti Lodge. (B/D)


Day 9: Etosha National Park – Windhoek After breakfast travel south towards Otjiwarongo – named by the initial settlers the Herero “a good place’’. Continue towards Windhoek via Okahandja where you will have the opportunity to visit a local handicraft market to buy any last minute mementos. The Tour ends in Windhoek late afternoon. Overnight back at the Casa Blanca Guesthouse. (B/D)


Day 10: Windhoek – London Enjoy morning at leisure in Windhoek, which is home to a multitude of shops, restaurants and bars. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport for your South African Airways flight via Johannesburg to London. (B)

You have the unique opportunity to extend your stay after Etosha with a visit to the lodge in Okonjima – from the Herero word meaning place of the baboons – lies nestled in the unspoilt beauty of the Omboroko Mountains, part of the well-known Waterberg Plateau – halfway between Windhoek and Etosha.
