Here is the opportunity to combine two of the most distinctive destinations on the globe in one trip: Peru – a vibrant, colourful land of natural wonders boasting more archaeological ruins than any other South American country, from the fascinating lost city of Machu Picchu to the richly diverse Lima and Cusco. Then on to the Galapagos Islands, one of the most enthralling and highly sought after destinations in the world, blessed with some of the most distinctive flora and fauna found anywhere. These islands are as beguiling today as when Charles Darwin first set foot on the well preserved archipelago over 150 years ago.


Day 1: London – Lima Early morning departure from Heathrow by Iberia via Madrid. On arrival in Lima transfer to the San Augustin Exclusive for 2 nights.


Day 2: Lima In the morning tour colonial Lima – this bustling city maintains the age-old texture of its rich traditions. View the iconic and historic buildings that fringe the square such as Lima’s cathedral, San Francisco church and the convent of Santo Domingo. (B)


Day 3: Lima – Cusco – Ollantaytambo In the morning fly to Cusco – the archaeological capital of the region. Then transfer to the Sacred Valley of Urubamba, en-route visit the Inca town Chinchero. After lunch visit the mystical Inca town of Ollantaytambo, the best surviving example of Inca town planning and hailed as one of the only places the Inca were able to resist the attacks of the Spanish. Continue to a Chicheria etc and visit the corn brewery, “El Descanso” – not simply a corn brewery but an ideal place to experience the laid-
