Departure Dates – Tour departs every fortnight on a Friday and is based on a minimum of 2 passengers travelling.





Sightseeing – As detailed, including entrance fees. To avoid the midday heat, early morning starts are often made for sightseeing, especially during the summer months. At certain times of the year, particularly in the winter months, the day-to-day itinerary is subject to change due to low water levels on the Nile.





Visa – The required Egyptian visa is not included in the tour price – details will be provided at the time of booking.

The bustling bazaars of Cairo, the incredible monuments of Luxor and the leisurely pace of life on the great River Nile, these are just some of the memories that you’ll take away with you from the essential essence of Egypt. Journey through valleys, deserts and narrow streets before setting sail on a luxurious cruise boat bound for Aswan and beyond.


Day 1: London – Cairo Direct EgyptAir flight from Heathrow to Cairo arriving in the evening to stay 3 nights at the Amarante Pyramids Hotel.


Days 2-3: Cairo You have 2 full days to explore Africa’s largest city, Cairo – renowned as the home of the Great Pyramids where an optional excursion is available. Or, wander through the treasures of the Egyptian museum or head farther afield for the remarkable ruins of ancient Memphis and Saqqara. (B each day)


Day 4: Luxor – Nile Cruise Fly to Luxor before transferring to your luxury cruise ship either the Tiyi or Tuya. After you’ve settled in it’s off to the East Bank of the Nile for your first taste of Ancient Egyptian


heritage. The temple complex of Karnak consists of some spectacular sites and has been described as the world’s largest outdoor museum. Before you return to the cruise ship you’ll also get the opportunity to visit the magnificent Temple of Luxor. Overnight stay will be in Luxor. (B/L/D) Please note that you will be advised of the name of your cruise ship upon arrival in Luxor.


Day 5: Luxor – Esna – Edfu This morning, after breakfast, you will have a chance to explore the West Bank of the Nile, renowned for being the central burial ground for the ancient kings and queens of Egypt. There is the option of taking a hot-air balloon ride over Luxor – an unforgettable experience. Proceed by bike to the main road, (please note that this bike ride is an optional trip only), where you pass
