plentiful vegetation and a large population of tortoises. (B/L/D)

Day 5: Floreana Island Today the Galaxy will be visiting Floreana Island which was one of the earliest inhabited Galapagos Islands and is now home to flamingos and green sea turtles. A trip around the Floreana takes in an abundance of beautiful locations such as: Devil’s Crown, Cormorant Point and Post Office Bay, so named after the whalers who used to leave their post in a floating barrel ready for delivery to Europe and America. (B/L/D)

Day 6: Española Island Española Island, today’s destination, is the oldest island in the archipelago at around 3.5 million years in the making. Due to its remote location, on the southernmost point in the chain, Española has an exceptional array of wildlife living on and around its shores. There are two visitor sites: Gardner Bay which has a fabulous beach and is great for snorkelling and Punta Suarez which is inhabited by many forms of wildlife including: Marine Iguanas, Lava Lizards, Hood Mockingbirds and several species of Booby bird. (B/L/D)

Day 7: San Cristobal Island – Guayaquil Follow in the footsteps of Charles Darwin as this was the first Galapagos Island that he visited during his voyage on the Beagle. The highlands of San Cristobel are home to an abundance of flora and fauna and also a fresh water lake which is located high up in the highlands. Unfortunately, this is where you part company with the Galaxy and bid farewell to the Galapagos Islands as you transfer to San Cristobel airport for the flight to Guayaquil. Overnight at the Grand Hotel. (B)

Day 8: Guayaquil – London Heathrow Transfer to the airport for the Iberia flight back to London Heathrow via Madrid. (B)

Day 9: Morning arrival in London Heathrow.
