How are you applying your learnings in your daily role?
Vesna Goričan: I apply the EDP’s insights by fostering empathy, inclusion, and a supportive work environment. Leveraging AI, I’ve enhanced data analysis, process optimisation, and innovation in my department. Te EDP broadened my strategic perspective, enabling me to improve operations and create unique guest experiences. Tese practices are contributing to the success of our casino.
Siham Makrache: I’ve already started applying lessons from the EDP in my leadership style. I focus on enhancing communication, fostering a winning culture, and prioritising the human side of leadership—values emphasised by Anthony Sobb. Tis means actively listening to my team, recognising individual strengths, and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. Additionally, the programme highlighted the importance of
innovation. I’m implementing strategies to leverage technology, such as AI, to improve processes, analyse data, and enhance guest experiences.
How beneficial is the ECA scholarship, and would you recommend the EDP to colleagues?

What was your most memorable moment from the event?
Vesna Goričan: Anthony Sobb’s lecture stood out as one of the most moving moments. His emphasis on empathy, respect, and human connection in leadership deeply resonated with me. He reminded us of the importance of simple yet powerful gestures, like warmly greeting employees, and leading with a moral compass. His insights continue to influence my approach to leadership and have reinforced my commitment to fostering positive workplace relationships.
Siham Makrache: It’s hard to choose one moment, but winning the Best Team Award was unforgettable. Te jury’s explanation the next day—highlighting my personal contribution and the unique touch I brought to the project— was deeply moving and humbling. It affirmed the impact I had on our success and reminded me of the value of authenticity and positive energy. What also stood out was the way my peers expressed
gratitude for my participation, saying they hoped to work with me from the start. Hearing that feedback was heartwarming and reinforced the power of connection.
