Siham Makrache: Te programme’s intensity was the biggest challenge—balancing long days, team projects, and networking required mental stamina and agility. Te team project was particularly demanding as we collaborated with professionals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, often meeting at 7 AM before the day’s sessions. We called ourselves “Te Morning Collective,” and despite


the challenges—including jetlag and packed schedules—it became a growth experience. It pushed me beyond my comfort zone, taught me resilience, and reinforced the power of teamwork and adaptability.


How valuable is the EDP for career progression?


Siham Makrache: Te EDP is a prestigious programme that offers advanced leadership tools and strategic insights tailored to the gaming industry’s complexities. Being the first participant from Belgium, representing Grand Casino Brussels VIAGE and Casino Austria International, is a milestone I’m incredibly proud of. Winning the Best Team Award was a personal highlight I’ll treasure. Te programme equips you to lead authentically, embrace


innovation, and tackle challenges holistically. Te networking opportunities are unparalleled—I’ve built a support system of peers and mentors worldwide. Tis network helps me stay ahead of trends and adopt best practices that will drive my career forward. We’ve even stayed connected through a WhatsApp group,


where we continue to inspire one another and plan future reunions like ICE in Barcelona.

Siham Makrache: Attending the EDP as a Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship recipient has strengthened my commitment to advocating for underrepresented voices. Te programme demonstrated the power of diverse perspectives in driving innovation and success. I was particularly inspired by strong female leaders who


shared their journeys and insights during keynotes. Teir stories underscored the importance of representation and inclusivity. I now feel more equipped to promote these values within my organisation, ensuring that all individuals feel heard, valued, and empowered to contribute.


Do you see your industry differently after the EDP?
