Trek along the western end of the Lycian Way


We walk through the ancient province of Lycia, following one of Turkey’s most spectacular coastal trails, the Lycian Way. On our 6-day trek we hike through the foothills of the Taurus Mountains from Kayakoy to Patara, in the hinterland above Kas, and along the coast to the ruins at Aperlae. On our way we experience village life, relax on golden beaches and discover ancient sites.


8 day tour itinerary


Day 1 Join tour Kayakoy. Day 2 Trek to Faralya Hike through pine forests and remote villages to Faralya, admiring views of Oludeniz and the Taurus Mountain Range. Day 3 Hike to Gey Trek uphill through pine forests and continue through farmlands and open fi elds to the village of Gey. Spectacular views of the coastline. Day 4 Trek down to Patara Beach. En route to this famous ‘turtle beach’ we visit the 4th century fortress of Pydnai. Day 5 Around Patara Walk via the Roman aqueduct from Delikkemmer to the southern end of the 18km Patara Beach. Day 2 - 5 hours Faralya


a swim in the warm sea. Explore the ruins of the ancient Roman stronghold, and birthplace of Saint Nicolas. Day 6 Mount Felen Follow the trail through the Taurus foothills to Mount Felen ridge. Overnight in Kas. Day 7 Kekova Trek to the ancient port of Aperlae. Explore the sunken ruins of Kekova by boat and continue to the picturesque village of Simena, over- looked by a medieval castle. Day 8 Tour ends Dalaman airport.
