The classic full circuit trek around the Mont Blanc massif


The Tour du Mont Blanc is one of the most spectacular treks in Europe. We hike 165km through France, Switzerland and Italy, across fi ve major passes, staying along the way in hotels and traditional auberges. We walk among breathtaking mountain scenery on the fl anks of Mont Blanc, with views of some of the Alps’ most dramatic peaks.


12 day tour itinerary


Day 1 Join tour at Geneva airport and drive to Les Houches in the Chamonix valley. Day 2 Alpine hamlets Trek through countryside to Lac Blanc (2352m) and descend to Argentiere. Day 3 Valleys and glaciers Traverse the Col de Balme (2191m). Surrounded by glaciers, descend to La Forclaz in Switzerland(1526m). Day 4 Alpine lakes Walk to the lake at Champex. Day 5 La Fouly Follow a gentle trail through pretty woodland and meadows. Days 6/7 Courmayeur Pass over the Grand Col Ferrett (2537m) to Italy and on to La Palud near Courmayeur. Day 8 High peaks From Val Veny trek

along a wide glacial valley to the Col de la Seigne (2516m).Descend to Les Chapieux (1549m). Day 9 Marmot country Climb above Les Chapieux among alpine fl owers, marmots and chamois. Walk down to Les Contamines (1167m). Day 10 Outstanding views Enjoy a fi nal day of walking along the west face of the Mont Blanc massif. Day 11 Free day A free day to enjoy optional activities or to relax at the end of your trek. Day 12 Drive to Geneva airport where tour ends.
