A challenging and off the beaten track trek to the remote Inca city of Choquequirao


Discover one of the most off the beaten track treks in Peru to reach the remote Inca site of Choquequirao. Known as ‘Machu Picchu’s sacred sister’, this vast complex is accessible only by foot and is surrounded by spectacular snow- capped peaks and thickly forested slopes. We also explore the archaeological jewel of Machu Picchu and the ancient Inca capital of Cusco.


14 day tour itinerary


Day 1 Join tour Cusco. Days 2/3 Cusco Explore the ancient Inca capital and visit the ruins at Sacsayhuaman. Optional whitewater rafting. Day 4 Begin Trek Travel to the town of Cachora and trek to Chiquisca (1750m). Day 5 Chiquisca to Choquequirao Trek mostly uphill along ancient Inca trails, through virgin forest
