Experience local culture and enjoy the warm hospitality of the Sherpa people as we stay in family-run teahouses. We begin an 8-day trek through the Dudh Kosi and Khumbu Valleys and climb to the village of Namche Bazaar. We admire some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the Himalaya including Ama Dablam (6856m), Lhotse (8516m) and Mount Everest (8848m).
13 day tour itinerary
Day 1 Join tour Kathmandu. Day 2 Kathmandu Enjoy a walking tour of the old city and full trek briefi ng. Days 3/5 Trek Begins Fly to Lukla. Begin our trek following the famous trail to Mount Everest. Hike along the banks of the Dudh Kosi River to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar. Days 6/7 Namche Bazaar to Deboche Descend through forests of blue pine and cross the Dudh Kosi River to Phungki Tenga (3250m). Trek to Thyangboche Monastery (3867m). Continue to Deboche

Day 3 - 3hrs Phakding
(3800m). Admire magnifi cent panoramas of the Himalaya including: Mount Everest (8848m), Ama Dablam (6856m), Kangtega (6779m) and Lhotse (8516m). Day 8 Deboche to Khumjung Along the way stop to visit the local school, the monastery and the highest bakery in the world. Day 9 Khumjung to Monzo Ascend to the Everest View Hotel for stunning mountain panoramas. Hike through Khunde village and visit the local hospital built by the Himalayan Trust.
Namche Bazaar Namche Bazaar Deboche Deboche
Descend south to Namche and continue down the valley to Monzo. Day 10 Monzo to Lukla Trek along the banks of the Dudh Kosi River to the Lukla plateau. Days 11/12 Kathmandu Return to the capital. Optional visit to medieval Bhaktapur, Pashupatinath and Bodnath. Day 13 Tour ends Kathmandu.

Accommodation: 4 nights hotels, 8 nights teahouses. Meals: 12 breakfasts, 8 lunches and 8 dinners are included. Tour staff: Explore Tour Leader, driver(s), porters and local guides. Transport: Bus and internal fl ights. Trekking Details: This is an 8-day trek with an average of 4 to 6 hours walking each day reaching a maximum altitude of 3867m. We have graded this trek as moderate to challenging. Group size: Generally 8 to 16.
