Varied day walks exploring four of the Channel Islands
Explore the landscapes of Jersey, Guernsey, Sark and Herm. We enjoy coastal walks, learn about the islands’ fascinating history and experience the unique combination of French and British cultures. We also visit the historic towns of St Helier in Jersey and St Peter Port in Guernsey, as well as the beaches of Herm and Sark.
8 day tour itinerary
Day 1 Join tour St Helier. Explore the history and architecture of Jersey’s capital. Day 2 L’Etacq This walk follows well-defi ned paths, and provides a gentle introduction to the west coast of Jersey. Day 3 Free Day Optional guided walk from Bouley Bay to Gorey. Day 4 Coastal walk Explore the gullies and gutters and cross the sand bars to discover Jersey’s wilderness area. Learn about the fi shing history of the area with the third highest tides in the world. Catch a ferry to Guernsey. Day 5 Saint Peter Port Guided tour of the town. Explore the cliffs of Guernsey, protected from development by the Royal Society for the Protection of
Birds. Day 6 Sark Optional trip to the Island of Sark, the smallest of the four main Channel Islands. Day 7 Herm Take the ferry to the island, home to beautiful unspoilt beaches. Visit the tiny 11th century chapel with its beautiful stained glass windows. Discover Neolithic tombs, 19th century ox shoeing stocks from the residency of Trappist monks and one of the smallest prisons in the world. Catch the ferry back to Guernsey. Day 8 Tour ends St Peter Port.
