This exciting trek offers the chance to ascend two Himalayan peaks and visit Everest Base Camp. We start by making our way through the Khumbu Valley to Lobuche where we meet the Khumbu Glacier. From here we visit Everest Base Camp before ascending nearby Kala Pattar (5545m). We then make our way to the base of Island Peak. Starting our ascent during the night we trek to the summit (6189m) of this impressive peak, set in a sea of glacier ice and surrounded by 8000m peaks.


22 day tour itinerary


Day 1 Join tour Kathmandu Day 2 Kathmandu Take a walking tour of Durbar Square and the Asan Bazaar before a full trek briefi ng. Day 3 Fly to Lukla Fly to the mountain airstrip at Lukla where we meet our trekking crew. Walk down to Phakding where we camp for the night. Days 4/5 Namche Bazaar Following the banks of the Dudh Kosi River we make our way in to Sagarmatha National Park and ascend to Namche Bazaar. Free day in Namche to acclimatise. Days 6/7 Thyangboche Leave Namche and follow a wide trail descending to the riverside before a steep climb to the monastery at Thyangboche. Trek through Deboche and on to Orsho. Days 8/9 Lobuche

Trek to Pheriche where there is an optional altitude talk at the health post. Meet the Khumbu glacier and trek to our camp at Lobuche. Day 10 Everest Base Camp A long days trek as we make our way to base camp, the start point for all expeditions on the Nepal side of the mountain. Day 11 Kala Pattar Ascend Kala Pattar (5545m) for dramatic views across to the South Col and summit of Everest. Day 12 Acclimatisation Take a day to rest and acclimatise before we begin our attempt on Island Peak. Days 13/14 Island Peak Base Camp Follow the Imja Khola valley until we reach the view point at Chhukung. Continue to Island Peak base camp where we make our fi nal

preparations for the summit attempt. Day 15 Advanced Base Camp Move further up the mountain to our high base camp. Day 16 Summit Attempt A long day today as we leave camp during the night for the summit push. At the top we are rewarded with a panoramic view of the Himalaya from 6189m. Days 17/19 Return to Lukla Make our way back to Lukla via Monzo. Days 20/21 Kathmandu Fly back to Kathmandu. Free time to relax. Day 22 Tour ends Kathmandu.

All technical equipment for the climb is included in the price of the tour. Time has been built in to our itinerary to practice rope, ice axe and crampon skills however we recommend you have previous climbing experience to ensure you have the best chance of reaching the summit of Island Peak.
