Centre based walking in the Mont Blanc region
The Mont Blanc massif provides outstanding mountain scenery and is home to the charming Chamonix Valley. On this walking trip in the Alps we trek sections of the famous Tour du Mont Blanc route including the spectacular trail to Lac Blanc where we can enjoy panoramic views of the whole Mont Blanc range. Based in a comfortable hotel we can relax at the end of each day, with no need to carry luggage during walks or pack up every night.
8 day tour itinerary
Day 1 Join tour an Geneva airport and drive to Le Houches in the Chamonix valley. Day 2 Valleys and peaks Walk along the Petit Balcon Sud to Chamonix town. Following the River Arve we arrive at Paradise du Praz where we stop for a picnic lunch. Day 3 Col du Voza Taking a cable car to Le Bellevue (1800m) there are spectacular views of Mont Blanc looming overhead. Descend to Col du Voza (1653m) and on to Les Houches. Option to return via cable car. Day 4 Waterfalls Take the mountain train to Le Buet. Following the river we walk to Cascades du Berard.

Day 5 Optional activities Rock- climb, cycle, glacier trek or just relax at the hotel. Day 6 Lac Vert Take the mountain train to Servoz before climbing through meadows to Lac Vert. From here there are stunning views of the north-west faces of the Mont Blanc range. Day 7 Mont Blanc massif Walk to Lac Blanc (2352m) for panoramic views of the whole mountain range. Day 8 Drive to Geneva airport where tour ends.

Tour essentials
Accommodation: 7 nights hotel. Meals: 7 breakfasts, 5 lunches and 5 dinners are included. Tour staff: Explore Tour Leader and driver(s). Transport: Bus, train and cable car. Trekking Details: We trek for 5 days for an average of between 3 and 5 hours each day. We follow well maintained trails and walk around 10km each day. We have graded this trip as easy to moderate and all the walks are optional. Group Size: Generally 10 to 16
Located in the Les Houches valley, close to Chamonix, the Hotel du Bois is our home for the week. A relaxed atmosphere, pool and gardens with views across the Mount Blanc range make this family-run hotel a comfortable place to relax at the end of the day’s walk.
