ON FOOT IN NORTHERN CYPRUS
Explore one of the most unspoilt regions of the Mediterranean. We travel to North Cyprus and walk in the beautiful Besparmak Mountain range, following quiet mountain trails leading to imposing Crusader castles. In Kyrenia, we wander the picturesque harbour front and narrow cobbled back-streets. Every evening we return to our hotel to relax by the pool or enjoy delicious, locally- grown food in nearby restaurants.
ITINERARY
Day 1 Fly to Ercan Airport and drive to Kyrenia. Day 2 Besparmak Mountains Walk to Lawrence Durrell’s house and Bellapais Abbey. Explore Kyrenia. Option to visit castle. Days 3/4 Caves and Castles Hike from Buffavento Castle to North Cyprus’ highest point. Visit Incirli cave and the Crusader castle of Kantara before descending down to the coast and Kaplica beach. Day 5 Famagusta and Salamis Optional trip to Famagusta, including “Othello’s Tower”, and the historical site of Salamis. Days 6/7 Village to Village trails Follow an ancient network of paths and discover some of the smaller villages of the Besparmak Mountains. Day 8 Drive to Ercan Airport. Fly to the UK.

NOSTALGIA HOTEL
Located in the winding backstreets of the Old Kyrenia, the Nostalgia Hotel was originally an old Cypriot house, which has been restored in traditional local style. It is located a few minutes walk from the picturesque harbour with its many shops, bars and restaurants.
