Grand Teton National Park YELLOWSTONE AND WESTERN TRAILS


Following scenic park trails we discover some of the most spectacular scenery in North America: from glaciers and rivers, to deserts and canyons, hot springs and waterfalls. Join us as we see the geysers of Yellowstone National Park and hike along the shores of dramatic glacial lakes.


ITINERARY


Day 1 Fly to Salt Lake City. Days 2/4 Yellowstone National Park Explore park trails. Walk among the herds of elk, bison and deer that graze on alpine meadows. Discover geysers, hot springs and mud volcanoes. Day 5 Geysers Hike to the Upper Geyser Basin and ‘Old Faithful’, the most active geyser in this area. Days 6/8 Grand Teton National Park Enjoy hikes around dramatic glacial lakes – which are carved into 2 mile high mountain tops. Day 9 Flaming Gorge Hike along the Canyon Rim Trail overlooking the gorge’s red-hued rock. Day 10 Walking with dinosaurs Explore the Dinosaur National Monument, home to a large number of fossils. Days 11/12 Moab Drive to Canyonlands National Park. Optional float trip on the Colorado River. Day 13 Arches National Park Hike through this inspiring landscape where more than 1,600 natural rock arches have been sculpted by the elements. Day 14 Salt Lake City Return to Utah’s capital and enjoy a walk around the city centre. Days 15/16 Overnight flight to the UK.
