The Inca trail INCA TRAIL TREK


Join us as we walk along the classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. We learn about traditional Andean culture on the 4-day trek to the summit of ‘The Lost City’ as we pass Inca ruins en route. We also discover the Sacred Valley, visit the colourful Pisac market and explore the historic town of Cusco.


ITINERARY


Days 1/2 Overnight flight to Cusco. Explore the former Inca capital. Day 3 Sacred Valley Visit the lively Pisac market. Days 4/8 Inca Trail Begin a 4-day trek along the famous Inca trail to the summit of the mountain citadel of Machu Picchu. Traverse the Andes, hike through cloud forest and cross ‘Dead Woman’s Pass’ (4200m). Explore the ruins of Llactapata, Sayacmarca and Winaywayna along the way. Take a guided tour of the ancient ruins. Visit the small town of Aguas Calientes and take the train back to Cusco. Day 9 Cusco Explore the bustling town or enjoy optional activities including white-water rafting. Days 10/11 Lima Fly to the capital. Optional tour of the city. Overnight flight to the UK.
