EVEREST BASE CAMP


A classic and challenging trek following the renowned Everest expedition route. We trek high above the tree line and tackle an ascent of Kala Pattar (5545m) offering stunning views across the South Col and the summit of Mt Everest. We continue along the trail reaching Base Camp, the starting point for summit attempts.


ITINERARY


Days 1/2 Overnight flight to Kathmandu. Day 3 Kathmandu Enjoy a guided walk of the old city. Day 4 Trek begins Fly to Lukla. Follow the Dudh Kosi River to Pakding. Days 5/6 Namche Bazaar Trek through rhododendron forests and ascend to Namche Bazaar, the colourful Sherpa capital. Day 7 Thyangboche Enjoy views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam from this spectacularly located monastery. Days 8/9 Dingboche Trek to the village of Dingboche. Free day to acclimatise. Day 10 Lobuje Follow the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier to Lobuche (4930m). Day 11 Base Camp Follow in the footsteps of expedition climbers today as we make our way to Everest Base Camp. Day 12 Kala Pattar Climb this neighbouring peak for spectacular views of Everest. Days 13/15 Lukla Return to Lukla. Days 16/17 Kathmandu Fly to Kathmandu. Free time to explore the temples or relax after the trek Day 18 Fly to the UK.
