King most recently served as the chief executive officer of Standard Microsystems (SMSC), a developer of silicon-based integrated circuits that utilises analogue and mixed-signal technologies, until the company’s acquisition by Microchip Technology in 2012.


Prior to that, she was chief executive officer of AMI Semiconductor before it was acquired by ON Semiconductor. King also spent more than 23 years at IBM in various management positions, including vice president of Semiconductor Solutions. She formerly served as a director for Analog Devices and Atheros Communications, prior to its acquisition by Qualcomm.


“Christine King is an outstanding addition to our board of directors,” says David J. McLachlan, Skyworks’ chairman of the board. “She is an accomplished industry executive whose broad semiconductor experience will be particularly relevant as Skyworks continues to grow and become a diversified analogue semiconductor leader.”

King, 64, serves on the board of directors for Cirrus Logic, IDACORP, Idaho Power Company and QLogic. King graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, N.J. with a B.S. in electrical engineering.


Anadigics to use Alltek as a distributor for Asia Pacific


Alltek, a communications components distribution in Asia, will carry Anadigics’ complete portfolio of WiFi, cellular and infrastructure solutions


Anadigics, a developer of radio frequency (RF) solutions, has expanded its sales presence by appointing Alltek Technology as a distributor for the Asia-Pacific region.


Specialising in communications component distribution, Alltek leverages highly trained sales and applications teams located near major design and manufacturing centres in Asia to provide support throughout the design, sales and production phases. Alltek will represent Anadigics’ complete line of WiFi, Cellular and Infrastructure products in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Soitec, and Intelligent Epitaxy Technology, a provider of InP, GaAs, and GaSb epitaxial wafers to the electronics and optoelectronics industries, have signed a collaborative agreement to better serve the GaAs market.


This partnership aims at addressing the market requirements for a reliable second source, while also extending the leadership position of both companies in the GaAs market as well as delivering the best product at the lowest cost for the customers.

Soitec and IntelliEPI to improve GaAs services


The two companies have signed an agreement which includes a technology license granted by Soitec to IntelliEPI. The agreement may be extended to address future business opportunities in the GaAs market, including equipment transfer
