the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher, the Burren with its delicate orchids nestling in the limestone plateau, the rugged peatland of Connemara and the Aran Islands, the unique Giant’s Causeway in County Antrim, and the glacier lakes of the Wicklow Mountains just outside Dublin. Ireland has been inhabited since the Stone Age and Ireland’s


ancient buildings are much in evidence across the country in the form of ancient pagan and monastic sites, medieval castles and historic houses. Ireland is beautiful – much of the countryside remains


unspoilt providing an excellent natural habitat for a flourishing flora and fauna. Ireland’s landscape provides a rich environment for the many outdoor leisure pursuits for which it is famous. Water sports, hill walking, rock climbing and caving are just a few of the many activities that can be enjoyed. Ireland also has many vibrant cities; from the capital Dublin with its award winning museums, theatres, Michelin-starred restaurants and five-star hotels through to the great sights of Belfast and the lively cities of Cork, Limerick and Galway.
