Adverbs are used to describe verbs (action words). They usually end in –ly. Adverbs help to add more description and detail to your sentences.
She danced gracefully/beautifully/ awkwardly.
They spoke quietly/loudly/softly/ suddenly/nervously.
He ran quickly/hurriedly/ frantically/slowly.
Some adverbs do not end in -ly. fast, never, better, often, almost
