COMMENT 5 PERSONAL Image: Seppic’s presence at in-cosmetics Global 2026 in Paris, France was typical of an appreciably more creative approach to stand design taken by exhibitors at this year’s event MAGAZINE

May 2026 PERSONAL CARE MAGAZINE

Welcome to the May edition of Personal Care Magazine. It was great to see so many

of you in Paris at in-cosmetics Global 2026, where I had the privilege of interviewing many of the world’s leading ingredient

manufacturers. Certain key trends kept popping up during the

course of the week: longevity, peptides, collagen, PDRN, hair loss and pet care. More on these trends will be featured in Personal Care Magazine in the coming months. As for the show itself, it seemed bigger and

better than ever, with seemingly no expense spared on stand design. The decision to move to Pavilion 7 at Paris Expo

Porte de Versailles, which saw 1,100-plus exhibitors spread over the ground, first and second floors, was vindicated. For visitors, there was a decent spread of

companies, programmes and focus areas on each floor, and moving up and down levels was a breeze.

That said, it was not an unqualified success.

Many people told us they found it hard to navigate each level due to a lack of signposts, visible stand numbers and other such ‘landmarks’. I’m sure these snags will be resolved if the show

returns to Pavilion 7 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in future years. Incidentally, the next edition of in- cosmetics Global will take place in Barcelona, Spain on 6-8 April next year.. Trade show attention now turns to New York

for NYSCC Suppliers’ Day on 19-20 May. I shall be moderating World of Chemistry, an educational programme staple, on the morning of the second day.

A particular highlight will be the presentation

by Anna Balaguer, Provital’s global beauty trends manager (an enviable job!), who will once again share the latest cutting-edge products discovered on her travels around the world. Myself and colleagues Geoff King, Chris

Vincent, Kelly McCann and Alex Moon will all be in attendance at Suppliers’ Day booth 321. Come say hi. Enjoy the magazine.
