Procedure


Heat the water of phase A to 70 - 75°C and dissolve the Geogard Ultra preservative. Mix the PenCare™ DP 1015 with the glycerin and add to phase A. Stir until homogeneous. Heat phase B to 70 - 75°C and add to phase A with stirring. Homogenise briefly until the emulsion is formed. Sprinkle in the Amigum and start paddle stirring. Stir until cool, adding any sensitive actives below 40°C. Homogenise again briefly. Adjust the pH as shown.

Procedure


PHASE A In main beaker, add Phase A ingredients mixing with propeller mixer and heat up to 30-35C. Transfer Phase A to homomixer maintaining the temperature 30-35C for 5-10 min. PHASE B In side beaker add Phase B ingredients mixing with propeller mixer and heat up to 30-35C. Slowly add Phase B to Phase A. Continue mixing Phase AB for 10-15 minutes with homo- mixing. Switch to side sweep mixing. PHASE C Add Phase C ingredients one at the time to Phase AB at 25-30C and mix until homogeneous. Adjust Ph. Properties

Procedure At room temperature, mix the phase A and the phase B separately. Heat phase A and B above 60°C. At temperature, add B to A whilst stirring. Homogenize using Ultra Turrax (3 min at 15000 rpm). Allow to cool down whilst stirring moderately.


Add phase C below 40°C whilst stirring moderately for few minutes. Adjust pH if necessary.


Properties


Appearance: Light and aqueous texture with a velvety finish. Apply with a pencil.
