Procedure

Disperse the Sunspheres™ Powder into water+Cocoate™ BG and heat up to 55°C then homogenized with an Ultra Turrax (13000 rpm) for 15 minutes (Cocoate™ BG is addind to reduce the formation of foam). Then add A2 into A1 under mixing. Mix for 10 minutes to let the gel swell. Then add A3 and A4 to neutralize the Carbopol®


. Then add A5 and heat up to 55°C. Heat B up to


78 °C until complete solubilization. Introduce slowly B (75 °C) into A (55°C) under mixing 1500 rpm and maintain mixing for 30 minutes. During the cooling step maintain the mixing at 1200 rpm. At 35 °C add phase C , D and E and mix at 1200 rpm for 5 minutes. Then add F to adjust pH at 6.3 and mix for 5 minutes at 1200 rpm. Cool to 25 °C under mixing.

Procedure


Add phase A to the main vessel and mix until uniform. Add liquids from phase B to a secondary vessel and start mixing, then add the Xanthan gum and mix until uniform. When phase A is homogeneous, slowly add phase A to phase B with prop mixing until a smooth gel is formed. Properties
