Despite the long, cold winters and lack of daylight, Finland has won the title of ‘happiest country in the world’ for the last several years. It seems the Finns thrive in terms of life satisfaction and this is said to be down to a good education system, access to nature, a modern welfare system, first-rate health
care and a great work-life balance. The Gallup World Happiness Report rates Finland with a 7.74 happiness ranking (on a scale of 0-10) followed by Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden.
