STANTON | SC-IX VERSION 4.0 www.stantondj.com

Stanton has announced version 4.0 of the SC-IX operating system for its SCS.4DJ complete digital DJ system. The SCS.4DJ’s state-of-the-art processors remove the need for an external computer when performing, making it a complete digital DJ system. This fresh approach means a DJ can simply plug in a storage device and start mixing using the built-in decks, mixer and high-resolution colour display. The new firmware includes the ability to preview a song directly from the song browser, as well as gain functionality for each deck allowing for user-adjustable gain control, which is stored with each track. It also has a VU metre source that gives users a visual representation of the master output or decks and a new artist column. The active playlist can now be sorted by artist, BPM or time and there are increased pitch range options. Users have been given the ability to edit a track’s beatgrid in realtime, with both ‘tap tempo’ and ‘dial-in-BPM’ functionality, for increased sync and loop accuracy and stability. The new SC-IX version 4.0 release and both Mac and PC versions of the QuickGrid high-speed analyser are available for download from the Stanton website.

TANNOY | QFLEX 64 www.tannoy.com

Tannoy’s QFlex is a range of digitally steerable, self-powered column array loudspeakers aimed at the high performance installation market. By creating an asymmetrical pattern, QFlex can produce equivalent SPL results in both the near and far field. Precise full-range beam control, effective to frequencies beyond 12kHz, allows the system designer to steer the QFlex beam away from surfaces that cause reflections. The QFlex 64 is now the largest model in the range, with 64 individual drivers each with its own amplification channel and DSP, in a 5.5-metre high column enclosure. This new model offers greater low frequency directivity control (down to 110Hz), increased effective range and throw, and greatly improved headroom and SPL. The QFlex 64 will also benefit from a new feature update, which will apply across the whole QFlex range, providing two on-board steering presets. This new feature will allow users to quick- ly reconfigure an installed QFlex column to an alternative coverage pattern with the flick of a remote switch. This is perfect for multi-functional spaces such as conference spaces which may be used in different ways for any given event.

YAMAHA | CL SERIES www.yamahaproaudio.com

Yamaha’s CL Series comprises the CL1, CL3 and CL5 mixing consoles with the Rio3224-D and Rio1608-D I/O racks. The series uses built-in Dante network- ing to build flexible, scalable mixing systems. Rio units and CL consoles can be placed anywhere on the Dante network, while pairs of CL Series consoles can also be cascaded to handle larger mixing requirements. Yamaha’s auto gain compensation feature means that multiple consoles can share the inputs from one set of I/O racks without any fear of unexpected level changes. The CL Series ranges in capacity from 48 to 72 mono (plus eight stereo) inputs per mixing console, with all featuring 16 DCAs, 24 mix and eight matrix busses, as well as stereo and mono output busses. Three Yamaha MY card slots feature on all consoles, maintaining compatibility with every existing audio format, allowing other Yamaha digital consoles to be incorporated into the Dante network and for additional inputs / outputs.
