ALLEN & HEATH | GLD FIRMWARE V1.1
www.allen-heath.com
Allen & Heath has updated its GLD digital mixing system firmware to V1.1, adding a range of enhancements including support for the forthcoming GLD iPad app and ME personal mixing system, new Graphic EQ emulations, and customer requested additions to scene management functionality. V1.1 will support full integration with Allen & Heath’s ME personal mixing system, allowing connection of the ME-1 personal mixer or ME-U connection hub to GLD’s AR2412 monitor port. This enables the automatic transfer of channel naming information from GLD to the ME system for quick and easy system setup. The firmware update also supports the new GLD Remote iPad app, which will allow wireless remote control of all mixes in GLD. All GLD mix outputs now benefit from a choice of four graphic EQ emulations with accurate modelling algorithms: classic third octave Constant-Q, industry standard Proportional-Q, Digi-Q for minimal band interaction, and a new asymmetric hybrid - plus display of the resulting frequency response and a superimposed RTA view. The four models are available at a touch of a button and can be audibly and visually auditioned in real time with no patching or recall needed.
AUDAC | AMP20 & AMP523
www.audac.eu
Audac has introduced two new solutions for compact and economical audio applications. The AMP20 and AMP523 are compact audio amplifiers with an output power of 2 x 15W, lending itself perfectly to small speaker systems in applications such as class rooms, offices, meeting rooms, residential applica- tions and more. Their compact size and very high efficiency with almost no heat dissipation makes them suitable to be hidden just about everywhere. The AMP20 contains a stereo balanced line and microphone input, each of them equipped with a gain potentiometer to set the balance between music and speech. The setup can be expanded with optional wall volume controllers and wall remote mixers if desirable. In case a more versatile control is required, the AMP523 contains an input switcher capable of switching between four stereo unbalanced line inputs and a balanced microphone input with phantom power. An integrated processor allows control through TCP / IP, RS-232 and RS-485. The Class-D amplifier technology, standby mode and included high efficiency switching power supply makes this device compliant to the highest energy efficiency and environmental requirements.
AUDAC | ATEO SERIES
www.audac.eu
The ATEO is a series of loudspeakers designed for fixed install indoor applications, ranging from modern residential applications to designer applications in environments such as retail stores, pubs, restaurants or even clubs. The ATEO 4 has a one-inch dome tweeter and a four-inch mid / low frequency driver while the ATEO 6 also contains the one-inch dome tweeter but together with a six-inch mid / low frequency driver. This ensures a true-to-nature, high fidelity reproduction of music and speech for both models. The specially designed mounting bracket using clevermount technology allows the loudspeaker cabinets to flow together with the mounting bracket providing a great ease for installing the loudspeaker.
CERWIN-VEGA | P-SERIES
www.cerwinvega.com
Cerwin-Vega’s P-Series professional PA system is suited to any sound reinforcement application, from live performances to public speeches and includes the P1500X two-way, bi-amped, full-range bass-reflex speaker and the P1800SX powered subwoofer. The P1500X employs a 15-inch woofer and high-frequency compression driver and is powered by a custom 1,500W Class-D amp. It can be used as a single speaker for a small venue, set in pairs for a larger venue needing more coverage and SPL, or side mounted as a floor monitor for a band. The P1800SX features an 18-inch woofer with a custom 2,000W Class-D amp, both enclosed in a hardwood cabinet. While designed for use with the P1500X, the P1800SX can be used for bottom-end extension with competitive products. Both the P1500X and the P1800SX have frequency-shaping controls, a Vega bass boost and a high-pass filter switch (as a built-in crossover), ensuring that the user has the right amount of bass for a particular venue. The thru and mix output options allow for system expandability and fast daisy-chain connections between components.
COHERENT | VIPER
www.coherent.com
Coherent has expanded its portfolio of optically pumped semiconductor lasers (OPSL) with a new platform - the Viper. In addition to the Genesis Taipan Series, the Viper offers a high level of beam quality and power, resulting in ultra high brightness and visibility for laser entertainment applications. The Viper provides a continuous wave laser light and is available in three versions: 10W, 8W and 5W. The output has very low divergence making it an ideal source for modulation with minimal loses in the scanning optics. It consists of a small laser head, which is sealed and has no adjustments, while the optics are pre-aligned using the permalign technique, so there is no need for adjustment throughout the laser’s life. This ensures that the optics inside the laser are not affected by dusty environments. The design of the laser also makes it impervious to large temperature changes in the environment with no system misalign- ment or change in mode quality.
DANLEY SOUND LABS | SH-SERIES
www.danleysoundlabs.com
Danley Sound Labs has made improvements to many of SH-Series full-range loudspeakers, identified by the suffix ‘HO,’ which stands for high output. The new designs use a more powerful two-way high frequency. As a result, the low- and mid-frequency drivers can now be driven to their full potential while still maintaining Danley’s characteristic frequency response, phase response, and fidelity. The new designs use a new crossover and have additional options for bi-amping and for changing the low-frequency impedance. Because the cabinets themselves haven’t changed, the new versions retain the coverage and frequency loss patterns of the originals. The new models include the SH-95 HO, SH-96 HO, SH-64 HO. In addition, the mid range drivers are also wired a little differently, which is incorporated as part of the new crossover wiring harness.
