The period after the Second World War was characterized at a global


level by the prevalence of debates regarding the „health” of the environment – under all its aspects: the protection of endangered flora and fauna species, climate changes, the destruction of the ozone layer, desertification, nuclear accidents, overpopulation, etc. – since the areas of influence of the new parties involved seem to expand with the economic development and environmental problems. The dispute over economic control or at least for economic supremacy was waged until recently among regional associations based on various ideologies (communism vs. capitalism). Thus, the environment was considered for a long time, at a political level, as an element without major importance. All these considerations
