Intermediaries provide ser- vices to other companies such as web sup- port so a travel agency can sell insurance online. Jobs include call-centre staff who sell policies, answer customer queries and do medical screening. Account managers look after other travel companies that sell insur- ance through their company. There are also accounting and regulation jobs, marketing and web roles. Underwriting roles involve the management and placement of travel insurance policies with insurers.
Tickets
Companies such as Attraction World or At- tractions Tickets Direct market and sell tick- ets for attractions, events and tours. There’s a contact centre that takes the bookings, while web development is crucial for on- line bookings. Product managers deal with the suppliers such as theme parks or tour companies, while account managers deal with sales via other travel companies.
