In May LCpl Raj Rai deployed on a 3-month detachment to his native Nepal assisting with the training and administration of potential British Army Recruits. Tasks included registration and preparation of recruits, confirming the recruit’s identity, and proofing their applications for any errors.

He also mentored the recruits, providing vital insights into the life of a British soldier. LCpl Rai cited his time assigned to this task as the most rewarding of his career and he encourages others to volunteer to support where able.

Sport Cpl Cheetham – Op INTERFLEX (Wathgill).

and Cpl James Cheetham were the primary support in Wathgill, with the rest of the team leaning in to provide respite and gain experience.

The task at hand was emotive and sensitive and required an approach which is befitting of the scenario. Cpl Cheetham, delivered in spades; a key player in the setting up of process to ensure the tracking and monitoring of partner force soldiers, he has mentored the training team’s MPAs to ensure they understood the processes in place and was the continuity in the Admin Office dealing with any of the G1 issues the 1000+ residents bring him.
