AGC Corps Engagement Team

The Corps Engagement Team has had a diverse and impactful year as the team continue to inspire and attract potential soldiers to be the future generation of the Corps.


Introduction


It has been a fantastic year for the Corps Engagement Team, with public events back in full swing, the team are enjoying getting to travel around the country once again. Schools are still getting used to life back in the classroom, which is offering unique challenges to the current engagement picture; the team are handling it fantastically. Looking ahead, the team are excited to see what opportunities they can create to inspire the next generation and demonstrate the Army offer.


Building international rapport at the Royal International Air Tattoo Show The Royal International Air Tattoo is the world’s largest military air show, held at Royal Air Force Fairford. The team had the privilege to work at the show and experience the displays from different Air Forces from around the world. Even though the show started at 1300Hrs, hundreds of


visitors lined the pavements from as early as 0800Hrs, some had even brought their own chairs and tents.


The team was set up next to the Jordanian Air Force who had a museum established to display some of their history and culture. It was wonderful to get to know them, sample some of their foods and sweets, and we were even given some Jordanian memorabilia before leaving. The quality of the military displays were amazing, from those in the sky and on the ground, it was such an interesting experience, the team look forward to going back in the future.


Lighting up the agricultural world during the South of England Show The team attended the South of England show in Ardingly, West Sussex over a very warm three-day period in June. The show hosts a range of agricultural, commercial, and public service displays, which attracts over 65,000 visitors each year. The Army Village was the second most visited area of the show, which meant the team were extremely busy
