IN-COSMETICS ASIA PREVIEW
Biological Self-Emulsifying Delivery (BIOSED) platform. The BIOSED platform adopts a biotransformation approach, which is in line with the concept of sustainable development. The separation and purification of its product is carried out by pure physical methods, without using any organic solvents, that is an environmentally friendly process flow. Q-SEDoil Olive has significantly improved absorption and diffusion capabilities compared with ordinary olive oil. According to efficacy testing, it has been
proven that Q-SEDoil Olive has excellent moisturizing and repairing effects. Q-SEDoil Olive can achieve self-emulsification rapidly by only adding water phase without adding additional oils and emulsifiers. The use of Q-SEDoil Olive can effectively reduce the use of emulsifiers and is more environmentally friendly.
ShengQing Materials (C88) will introduce a new product named SQ-SE 1200,a high-efficient silicone emulsifier with the INCI name Lauryl PEG/PPG-18/18 Methicone. This versatile emulsifier excels in stabilizing both water-in- oil (W/O) and oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions, making it ideal for a range of cosmetic formulations. Designed for cold process applications, SQ- SE 1200 ensures a smooth, non-greasy finish while delivering a light conditioning effect on both skin and hair. The Chinese maker says it is perfect for creating high-performance, stable emulsions without compromising on sensory attributes.
Sophim (E17)
Sophim (E17) will highlight Phytosqualan, an olive squalane emollient prized in the cosmetic industry for its versatility, unique dry touch, and proven benefits. What sets Phytosqualan apart is the French company’s commitment to sustainability through a circular production model. Produced across two industrial sites in Spain
and France, it ensures minimal environmental impact. In Almeria, Spain, at the heart of Andalusia’s olive groves, it extracts squalene from local olive residues, maximizing resource efficiency and ensuring every byproduct is valorized in its circular process. The squalene is concentrated before transport to its Peyruis plant in France, where it is hydrogenated into Phytosqualan. Phytosqualan has been demonstrated
to significantly reduce TEWL, to improve moisturizing and to support skin elasticity and firmness. This versatile emollient is used in a wide variety of care, hygiene and makeup formulas.
Silab (L65)
French natural active maker Silab (L65) has focused on the impact of ageing on transcompartmental communication between the dermis and the epidermis, which led to the development of Commusys. Rich in biopeptides from the yeast Pichia
stipites, this natural anti-ageing active ingredient restores communication from the dermis to the epidermis by regulating the proteome, limiting the expression of miRNAs in extracellular vesicles (including exosomes) and restoring the IGF-1/IGF-1R pathway. As a result, epidermal biological functions are favoured. These results translate in vivo on a mature
Caucasian panel into positive effects on epidermal renewal and thickness, assessed using optical biopsies. As of 14 days, the skin is hydrated and smoothed and its radiance is restored. These hydrating and radiance- boosting benefits are also observed in Asian

Korean marine-derived cosmetic ingredient maker Sunmarine Biotech (B38) will showcase SUN-Sea Urchin F-HG, a peptide extracted from purple sea urchin shell hydrolyzed fermentation. It contains oxothiazolidine carboxylate structure, a precursor of cysteine, the main component of keratin. The main efficacy is decreased dandruff,
improved hair density, thickness, and elasticity, as well as improved scalp and hair growth. In clinical trials, a four-week trial with 5% solution resulted in dandruff decreasing by 31.3%, increased hair thickness by 5.6%, and increased hair tensile strength of 28.5%.
TriBeaute (U70) will highlight AzePore, its skin care solution to solve problems such as blackhead, sebum and acne. The ingredient is a special blend of synthetic fatty acids and is an azelaic acid-alternative concept. AzePore can bring beneficial efficacy to your
formulation such as directly melting blackhead, comedo acne and tightening up the opened
volunteers. Commusys therefore provides an innovative anti-ageing solution by its capacity to restore dermis-epidermis communication altered in the course of ageing.

pore. It can also prevent proliferation of the acne or the other bacteria on the skin surface and internal pore. AzePore can also enhance other active components and anti-bacterial formulation efficacy.
Vantage (Y30) will demonstrate its Strataphix technology series that utilizes carefully balanced, naturally-derived, active compounds to curtail inflammatory pathways, leading to reductions in inflammation responses. Strataphix Poly-PF is an efficacious complex
of watersoluble polysaccharides designed to significantly help reduce the unwanted side- effects of retinolinfused formulations. It helps to mitigate skin damage by inhibiting a key protein, Caspase-1, which starts the processes of cellular inflammation. Backed by in vivo and in vitro testing, the
ingredient has been shown to restore the skin barrier; intense hydration; reduce redness and reduce irritation, especially induced by retinol/ actives.
Bangkok-based distributor Vita (K40) will be on hand to assist with the goal of delivering high quality products. The Thai firm represents companies such as Kensing, Nuritas, Vedeqsa, Humens, Sanyo Kasei, Synergy, Brother, Solvay, NKY, NHU, Lasons, Floral concept, Bertin, UnilecithinFirmenich, Resun Auway, AMB Wellness, Seqens, BASF, Galaxy, Salee Printing, Salee Colour, Cosmino, and Vonderscent.
Vytrus Biotech (E21)
Vytrus Biotech (E21) will take the wraps off Baolift, an active ingredient designed to be a skin workout that activates the molecular mechanisms of physical exercise in the skin, improving muscle tone to make it firmer and younger looking.
Last, but not least, Personal Care Global magazine (S100) is once again media partner for the Formulation Lab - where ingredient suppliers demonstrate how to formulate finished products in a fully equipped lab – and is also supporting the new 9 Faces of the APAC Beauty Industry 2024 initiative. The Personal Care Global editorial and sales team will be out in force to discuss future opportunities, as well as make new friends and renew old acquaintances. We look forward to seeing you.
