HairRevive [MM+Zn] is a new active plant shell made with musk mallow cells and zinc that aims to extend the hair growth cycle, thereby helping hair to be kept for longer and preserving its colour. In vitro tests show a significant effect on key mechanisms involved in the hair growth cycle. A clinical study of 20 women from 25 to 45 years old with damaged and dry hair showed an improvement in their hair’s appearance with hair looking shinier and smoother, at a HairRevive [MM+Zn) concentration of 0.5%. Sensient Beauty exhibited four of its latest
product launches in skin treatment and hair care, including Aloe Surface Treatment - a natural, hydrophobic ingredient offering high pigment load and spreadability. Also on show was Covalight EMO BA - an avocado-based hydrophobic surface treatment dispersed in sunflower alkanes, easy-to-use and cosmos certified, intended for face makeup formulations. The New Jersey firm also exhibited Natpure
XCo Choco - an upcycled chocolate extract antioxidant ideal for sun care and self-tanning applications and is compatible with DHA. Meanwhile, Natpure Feel PGD is a smooth sensorial texturizer with a powdery skin feel affording shine for hair, makeup and skin care. Sabinsa showcased a range of hair care
and skincare actives, including Proscalpin, a patented, clinically studied blend for healthy hair care and LactoSporin, a postbiotic preparation for healthy skin microbiome. The New Jersey outfit also exhibited trending
natural skin care actives for UV protection and melanogenesis inhibition, including PTeroWhite and Sabiwhite. Other ingredients included Olepent cosmetic peptides for healthy ageing, and Pomegranate Extract Ellagic Acid 90%. British firm Stephenson unveiled Syndopal SHC 600-MB, the only extruded solid conditioning base available on the personal care market. Created specifically for manufacturing ultra-mild luxurious solid conditioning bars,
it is silicone free, cationic allowing for smooth conditioning, and Certified Sustainable RSPO-MB. LipoTrue showcased two new actives –
Poptide and V/WA. Poptide, designed to act on wrinkles, is a cyclic peptide that organizes skintropy by raising BiP and calreticulin (folding optimizers) in the endoplasmic reticulum improving protein folding. V/WA is a marine active ingredient specifically designed to target expression wrinkles and challenging hidden wrinkles often revealed when smiling or frowning. Micro Powders took the wraps off several
new natural products, including Celscrub 20, a biodegradable 20 mesh scrub based on microcrystalline cellulose. This highly unique scrub gently exfoliates then disappears, adding a transitioning ‘wow’ effect in all facial and body care applications. Also on show was Naturecel 750, a
biodegradable natural fine powder derived from microcrystalline cellulose. This product offers best-in-class soft focus and line filling with
high transmission haze and total transmittance. This powder will also be offered as a natural, anhydrous gel under the name NatureGel MC750. Siltech showcased additions to its Sustain
product series such as Silwax Sustain 5116 – an improved sustainability liquid alkyl dimethicone that provides excellent spreadability, emollience and pleasing sensorial in personal care. The new ingredient differs from traditional
cetyl dimethicones as the alkyl component is derived from biobased plant sources, rather than petroleum feedstocks, assuring formulators of both functionality and improved sustainability. Also on show was Silube Sustain 4316, said to be an improved sustainability alkyl functional silicone polyether emulsifier that provides premium benefits as a water-In-oil (invert) emulsifier.
