Thomas Wenzel Named to Lead
YXLON International Hudson, OH — Comet Group’s board of directors has appointed Thomas Wen- zel head of the X-ray systems (IXS) division, general manager of YXLON In- ternational and member of the executive committee of the Comet Group. Mr. Wenzel holds a computer science degree and a Ph.D. in engineering and has 15 years of management experience at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrat- ed Circuits. There he had strategic, scientific and financial responsibility for the nanofocus system engineering segment and later process —integrated test systems. He has been vice president of technology for the X-ray systems divi- sion and the Comet Group and also played a central role in advancing the de- velopment of the company’s X-ray systems R&D as interim head of research and development.
