Morrisville, NC — Juki Automation Systems (JAS), Inc., is now offering a variety of electronics production equipment, including new incoming material stations, 3D AOI, and more. The compa- ny is highlighting its ISM Ultra Flex 3900 storage tower, incoming material station and RV-2 3D AOI at IPC APEX 2019. The ISM Ultra Flex 3900 is an extension
module that can be attached to the rear of an ISM 3600, increasing the capacity of the combined machines (ISM 3600 and ISM 3900) up to 7,500 7 in. (18 cm) reels 0.3 in. (8 mm) in height, or 1,880 15 in. (31 cm) reels 0.3 in. (8 mm) in height. The reel size mix is an adjustable parameter. The ISM 3900 can work standalone, but only if combined with the external elevator units and ISM AGV sys- tem. Multiple ISM 3900s can be installed in paral- lel to increase storage capacity. With the incoming material station, opera-
tors can speed up material registration activities, avoid mistakes and increase the traceability of each individual unique ID. With its auto-incoming features, it is possible to automatically import information from the supplier’s or customer’s label into the ERP and print a new unique ID. After setting the rules for each label, the operator can simply position the material on

Recovery Systems
Isle of Wight, UK — EVS Inter - national is showcasing its EVS 8KLFHS alongside Sono-Tek at IPC APEX 2019. The system contains an integrated hopper that makes rapid transfer of dross simpler and safer and speeds de-drossing times by up to 75 percent. The EVS 8KLFHS offers a
capacity of up to 12 lb (5.4 kg). The system provides a cleaner
wave with less maintenance, less downtime and a reduction in shorts and bridging, as well as the potential to discontinue the use of messy wave oils and/or dross reduction powders.

Monitoring SMT lines is critical. “Line-Down” due to lack of precise inventory management is wasteful.

the station and its high-resolution camera will read all the needed codes and information, take a picture for traceability purposes and print the new label.
According to the company, the RV-2 3D AOI
system offers a 34 percent faster inspection time compared to competitive systems (0.41 FOV/s). The system also has reduced image processing and capturing times. The RV-2 also contains 3D projec- tors and a high-speed color camera (160 FPS). The RS-1XL offers all the same features of
the proven RS-1, but with a standard maximum board size of 25.6 x 22.1 in. (65 x 56 cm). The LNC- 120 head laser moves up and down depending on component height, resulting in high CPH, regard- less of component shape. Combined with the RF electronic feeders, the system has an optimal throughput of 40,000 CPH. With new odd-form recognition technology, the RS-1XL provides easy
data entry for odd-form parts. Contact: Juki Automation Systems, 507
