Claire Beacham, FdA Therapeutic Communication and Therapeutic Organisations student
“It was important for me to be near to where I live and
work so Essex was a natural choice. I have found it very easy to settle into university life; all the staff within the Centre are most helpful.
I enjoy all the modules I am taking and I know that each of them will prove valuable for the future. I have particularly enjoyed learning how defence mechanisms are used between people and within large organisations. I also like taking time out of my studies to grab a coffee, explore my surroundings, and take in the atmosphere of the Colchester Campus.
The residential field trips are a great opportunity to make friends and understand theories better. The analysis of group dynamics in a practical setting has been a great learning experience. I have enjoyed my time at Essex so much that I intend on continuing my studies further once I have completed my course.”
