Graduate PG Certificate – Psychological Well-being Practitioner (Low Intensity) This programme enables you to address common mental health problems (anxiety and depression) and the use of evidence-based practices for such issues. You will be provided with training aimed at the implementation of packages of cognitive-behaviour therapy (eg supported self-help) and an understanding of common pharmacological approaches to care. If you would like to apply for this programme you must have been accepted on an IAPT trainee position (or be able to achieve the supervised clinical hours) and have the relevant academic and/or clinical experience.
MSc/PG Diploma/PG Certificate – Infection Control This programme aims to equip nurses in hospital and community settings with a repertoire of skills necessary to lead to innovative practice in infection control. It is entirely web-based and therefore accessible as distance learning, although study days are held at our Colchester Campus every three months. A minimum of two years post-registration experience is normally required for entry.
Masters (MPH)/PG Diploma – Public Health This programme is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to fulfil a leadership role in public health, whether in the UK or abroad. It can either be taken as a one year full-time programme, or alternatively you can choose to study part-time between two to five years (this option is not available to international students due to Visa restrictions). MSc/PG Diploma/PG Certificate – Medical and Clinical Education This inter-professional programme is suitable for doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, or any other health care
professional involved in teaching and assessing in practice. The programme is mapped against nurse practice teachers, nurse teachers, GP associate trainers, GP trainers, occupational therapists and physiotherapist clinical educator learning outcomes.
Musculoskeletal Assessment
We offer two musculoskeletal pathways: MSc/PG Diploma/PG Certificate – Advanced Musculoskeletal Assessment and Practice
MSc/PG Diploma/PG Certificate – Advanced Musculoskeletal Assessment (Imaging)
These programmes enable experienced clinicians to assess and manage patients with a range of musculoskeletal conditions beyond their normal scope of practice. Optional modules allow you to expand your musculoskeletal practice with a focus on imaging, including ultrasonography, or a focus on patient management including injection therapy. You can choose to study part-time between two and five years.
