Key features of the programme Clinical placements in general dental practice and community health centres: this provides a vast experience of treating a broad range of the general public presenting with an extensive range of dental problems. As the majority of dentistry occurs in primary dental care, this form of clinical learning ensures that upon completion of the programme you will be well placed to obtain employment in this environment with the full range of competencies and with confidence.
E-Learning: this programme provides an additional and effective web-based learning environment, providing a platform for enhanced communication and education across the programme.
Clinical and communication skills: throughout this programme you develop the full range of clinical skills that are obtained through the experience of treating patients.
Innovative skills escalator: we are proud to have developed and delivered the first Foundation degree in oral health sciences; our curriculum has been carefully planned to enable successful graduates to return to education to train as dental therapists.
